O&R– AUTOHAUS –

Three decades of BMW. One independent garage.

Main dealer standards, independent trust.

O&R Autohaus was founded on a simple idea: the standard of care your BMW or MINI gets at a main dealer, from an independent team that knows you by name. The O and the R are Oz and Rhys, the two technicians who run it, and between us we bring more than 30 years of main dealer experience: factory training, dealer equipment, and the habits that come from working to manufacturer standards every day.

Main dealer work means being trained on a model before most people have seen one on the road, meeting the same fault across hundreds of cars until you know it by its symptom, and following a documented procedure instead of a hunch. That is the part we brought with us. What we left behind is the price list and the layers of people between you and whoever is actually holding the spanner.

We work out of Unit B2, Fram Enterprise Centre, and we're fully committed to delivering the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship in every repair, keeping you and your family safe on the road. We look forward to earning your trust as your go-to BMW and MINI experts.

The training came from one place. Every course either of us has done was delivered by BMW itself, through the retailer network, on the cars and the systems we now work on independently. We have been inside BMW since the early 2000s and were trained on the range as each model arrived rather than learning it afterwards from a manual, which is why there is very little on a modern BMW or MINI that is unfamiliar.

That training is also the reason we are comfortable with the other German marques. Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, SEAT and Mercedes are routine work here. Main dealer training is a method before it is product knowledge: diagnose before replacing, follow a documented procedure, prove the fix. The equipment is dealer level and the method does not change with the badge on the bonnet.

What we bring between us

Over 20 years inside BMW, a Master Technician assessment, and years of being the pair other technicians came to when a car had already beaten them: the intermittent electrical fault, the one that will not reproduce on the ramp, the job that has already had two sets of parts thrown at it.

We both hold the IMI Level 4 electric and hybrid qualification, which covers removing and repairing the drive battery itself and every high-voltage component around it. That is the part of an electric BMW or MINI a general garage cannot safely go near, and it is the reason EV work does not have to mean a main dealer.

Two of us, start to finish

Both names are above the door because both of us are on the tools. The person who books your car in, the person who diagnoses it and the person who hands it back are the same two people. Nobody relays a message between you and whoever is holding the spanner.

We diagnose these cars on BMW's own system.

The workshop runs genuine BMW ISTA, the Integrated Service Technical Application, which independent garages obtain through BMW's Aftersales Online System. It is the software a BMW retailer works with: diagnostics across every control unit on the car, coding, programming and key enabling, plus BMW's own workshop manuals, wiring diagrams and technical bulletins for the model in front of us.

That matters for a specific reason. Plenty of garages can read a fault code. Fewer can code a replacement control unit to the car, program a module after a repair, or check a symptom against the manufacturer's own bulletin for that engine. A good deal of the work that otherwise sends a BMW or MINI owner back to a main dealer is work we can do here.

Alongside ISTA we run Autel and Topdon diagnostic equipment, which covers everything else that comes through the door. BMW and MINI are our specialism, not our limit.
